Course Description: This course introduces and provides an overview of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent, nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector and non-governmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents.
Course Objectives: At the end of this course, participants should be able to describe the:
• Intent of NIMS.
• Key NIMS concepts and principles.
• Purpose of NIMS components, including preparedness,
communications and information management, resource
management and command management.
• Purpose of the National Integration Center.
This course is required in order to be an MRCKC Volunteer.
