Join Now . . . here's how
We are happy to have you join with many other Kansas City Metro volunteers to improve the disaster resilience and health of communities through education, training and volunteer service. MRCKC provides many opportunities for both medical and non-medical volunteering in Kansas City. You may also check out our Facebook Page to see what we’ve been doing lately.
MRCKC is a deployable Volunteer Organization Active in Disaster (VOAD). We can be requested by the local affected Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or the local affected Public Health Agency to respond to disaster. We like to keep busy outside of disasters by supporting the metropolitan health departments, volunteer agencies, non-profit groups, and fire & police departments.
Here are the Corps requirements for MRCKC membership.
*These courses do take some time to complete, but are important to the language of disaster response that is used by all responding entities in the United States. If you’ve already taken these courses for another volunteer organization they never outdate, just upload them onto TRAIN. If you have difficulty uploading any of your coursework, please let us know and we can assist you.
If you have questions about any of this, do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]
